David Sigfredo Angulo Biography

David Sigfredo Angulo is a seasoned computer programmer, with over 30 years in the field. He was the lead programmer for SPSS statistical programmer, and his software was awarded the Smithsonian Institution Permanent Research Collection of Information Technology in 1997. He founded and runs Angulo Consulting, a successful Computer Software Consulting company. Dave was on the Computer Science faculty at Loyola University of Chicago, the University of Chicago, and DePaul University. He was also a researcher at Argonne National Laboratory. Dave has had many grants, including a $2.5 million Federally Funded NIH grant writing computer algorithm analysis software for proteomic mass spectrometry cancer research, and a $750K NSF Bioinformatics grant. He has over 80 publications, including the editor of "The Bioinformatics Revolution," a special edition of the ACM Crossroads journal. Dave was the secretary of the national Data General Users Group.
